“Hawk-nosed Koaloo” (2020)

Last surviving pair apparently killed in the fires which burned areas the Gondwana rainforests of northern New South Wales and southern Queensland.

A hurried piece created in Adobe Fresco on the iPad with an Apple Pencil. Need to draw this again. Not pleased with it but need to post the good (occasionally), bad and ugly which is usually.

“Deep-sea Totem” (2019)

Image of a carving on a totem pole found at a depth of 55 feet in the waters off Ayak Island or Sledge Island in the Bering Sea. It is speculated it depicts a deep-sea creature once caught by an ancient tribe that once resided on the island. Traces of a red pigment were preserved in the very cold water which allowed a close match for the illustration.
